Mark Flint’s past projects include designing and managing the construction of the Arizona National Trail (AZNST) in Pima County, designing the White Canyon portion of AZNST Segment 17, and designing a 13-mile reroute of the AZNST in the Rosemont Mine area.
His former company, Southwest Trail Solutions provided volunteer training and project management for trail reroutes in Rico, Colorado, and trail design for the Bureau of Land Management mountain bike trails in Caliente, Nevada. Mark traveled to Puerto Vallarta. Mexico, to design and manage the construction of a trail in a temperate Jungle.
Mark also traveled to El Paso to design the Mountain to River Trail and Stowe, Vermont, to design a mountain bike trail in the Adams Camp area. Arizona projects included creating a segment of the Juan Bautista De Anza National Historic Trail in the Gila Mountains east of Yuma, making two years of monthly visits to the Navajo Nation to help develop the Navajo Nation Trails Initiative, leading the design for a trail network in Superior. He also worked with a youth organization that built trails in Nogales.
While working for Pima County, Mark’s trail design and construction projects included the McKenzie Ranch competitive mountain bike course, new trails and reroutes in Tucson Mountain Park, and new trail parks, including Painted Hills, Robles Pass, Sweetwater, the Tortolita Mountains, Enchanted Hills, and Big Wash.

• Amerind Foundation
Located within the Texas Canyon Nature Preserve, Amarind visitors can enjoy 8 miles on a self-guided trail system accessed from four trailheads on paths that are moderate in difficulty, but still approachable to most levels of hikers.






Viewpoint HOA Community Trail
Located in the foothills of the south flank of the Santa Catalina Mountains of Tucson, HOA members have access to a veritable wonderland of nature right in their backyard.






Charlie’s Trail: West Tucson Mountains Private Land
Mark designed and built a network of trails for a client whose home is surround by a nine-acre desert-scaped oasis in the foothills of the Tucson Mountains. Encompassing nearly a mile of gently sloping trails, the trail includes three loops that traverse a wash and take in spectacular views of mountains in all directions.
