Viewpoint HOA Trail

A townhome community straddling a wash in the Tucson Foothills, the Viewpoint project is one Mark holds close to his heart. When he first got involved with the HOA board in 2020, and they learned of his extensive trail design and construction experience, he was asked if he could put some trails in around the community property.

By the time the Covid 19 lockdown had hit, residents could leave their homes and walk trails that took them along the wash to a longer existing trail in the Finger Rock Wash.

Since then, Mark has built a loop trail that connects both sides of the wash, and provides a mile-long loop. A second, shorter loop encircles open space near the swimming pool on the south side of the subdivision.

In addition to providing an opportunity for residents to get out on trails without having to drive to a trailhead, the large loop replaced a section of the wash that residents had used, securing it as a safe passage corridor for large mammals – javelina, coyotes and wildcats – that live in the Foothills.
